Sailing simulator

Hello everyone.

I am looking for a sailing sim where I can practice sea navigation... I doubt a sim like this exist but incase it does, I would like to know about it.

If there is not a project out there like this how can I suggest it?

To answer you question, yes there are sailing sims out there. I used to tinker with some of them a few years back. My parents live aboard these days, I kinda grew up on a saiboat. I'm not sure if there any that are native to Linux but I'll take a look around. You might want to take a look at these in the meantime...

These are all Windows based, but maybe they'll work with WINE.

Here's one with more links than I care to list out for you. Alot of intersting sites.

Thanks for all the help.

I'll take a look at the links that you have provided, maybe I can install win on a diff partition.

The goal is to find a sim where I can practice sea navigation and the such.

Sorry for such choppy writing, I just came out of an English class and I'm very tired. :\
