Any ideas? Is there an cisco router simulator open source project? Or anything that runs on Linux?
Also, any cheap site, place that sells cisco routers, that maybe can be used for studying?

Actually I found one quite recently. Look up dynamips and dynagen at http://www.ipflow.utc.fr/index.php/Cisco_7200_Simulator or http://www.ipflow.utc.fr/blog/. This works on both Linux and Windows. The catch is that you need a Cisco IOS image that works on the 7200 series router to get it to work
But if you can get your hands on one, this is by far one of the better simulators.
