Unhappy Proton doesn't launch games after system update.

So recently i have updated my system but now proton games dont launch.

what happens is when i try to launch a game in steam it says the game is preparing to launch and then nothing happens (this happens with every game)

https://pastebin.com/18EmYsE8 here is the log for when i tried to launch yakuza like a dragon on proton 7.1

native linux games work (i tried terraria and it worked fine)

i also tried to use different proton versions and the same thing happens

here are my specs:

Linux Mint 19.3 MATE

Cinnamon version 4.4.8

Kernel version: 5.4.0-104-generic

Processor: intel© Core™ i5-2400 CPU @ 3.10GHz × 4

Memory: 7.7 Gib ram

GPU: Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. [AMD/ATI] Polaris 20 XL [Radeon RX 580 2048SP

i tried using PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1 %command% as launch flags but it still didnt work
