Odd UT2003 problem

I just finished installing it, and it won't run:

furstation:/home/tom # /usr/games/ut2003/ut2003
fcntl: Invalid argument
fcntl: Invalid argument
Xlib: extension "XiG-SUNDRY-NONSTANDARD" missing on display ":0.0".
Xlib: extension "XFree86-DRI" missing on display ":0.0".
OpenGL renderer relies on DXTC/S3TC support.

I have my drivers installed correctly; other 3D games (such as neverball) run fine. I have nVidia 7174 on Debian/unstable.
