Cool UT2003 Problem

Install went perfect. But the game just won't run. I've heard that under linux ut2003 requires that you have an nvidia video card. Other sources say that you only need the nvidia driver. I can't find anything at the official website. Can someone please clarify this mess for me. Thanks.

I don t know where the problem exactly is, but if you have an nvidia compatible grafik card there should be no problem. However you need the nvidia driver from www.nvidia.com

Did you try as root, i had once the problem, that he didn t start because i hab no permission to the drivers. and if that s the case add yout user to the group video or something like that

I'm sporting an Intel 845 Graphics Card and I'm not sure if itś nvidia compatible. How do you tell? Does it say somewhere. I can't seem to find a video card compatiblity list.

Why dont you tell us THE PROBLEM. "it doesnt work" doesnt help us.

When you type "ut2003" as a user and root, does an error come up? If so, what is it? Does the game actually start?

Find out if you have 3d aceleration enabled. You don't need a nVidia card for UT. Play some TuxRacer and see if it plays well to check your 3d
