None of my Id games are working after install of Wine

Hey guys,

I recently installed wine with a one click install from openSUSE software page thing. After that I decided to play some Quake 4, but it would not open. I used the terminal and I got this error message:

-------------- R_InitOpenGL ----------------

Loading GL driver 'libGL.so.1' through SDL

For some reason the OpenGL is not working. When I tried playing Enemy Territory Quake Wars, It worked but ran extremely slow, Everything was loading way too long, and when I moved my mouse it would move unresponsively. This puzzles me because 5 hours earlier everything was working just fine. I really believe it has to do with the wine 1 click install. Also I am using a 64-bit, do you think that the 32-bit compatibility libs were changed. All my other games work perfectly by the way. Thank You!

This is the website that I got wine from:

http://packages.opensuse-community.o...o=openSUSE_111

It is the 7th one on the page.

Wait a minute, so you're playing these games using wine ? but there are native versions that work perfectly.

What video card and drivers do you have ?

No i'm talking about the native versions, they stopped working correctly after I installed wine. I found out that wolfeinstein isn't working properly either, extremely slow response times on main menu screen. I am using a ATI Radeon 4670. I've also re-installed my ati drivers as well, but the problem still persists. I tried re-installing ETQW again and that didn't help either.

I agree with Texmex,Quake4 runs just fine natively on my Debian x64 box.
I have to use the ia32-libs package to run the installer and game.
Not sure if there is an equivalent for OpenSuse, but i'd say check your package manager for something similar.
Once i have installed ia32-libs i run the installer with linux32 sh Quake4xxxx.
Hope this helps.
