After I got Enemy Territory working for the first time it ran fine and had sound. I quit playing, played a cd to make sure that worked and then went back to ET and now I have no sound. None of the Linux games have sound either but the cds still work fine. I checked alsamixer and kmixer and they are both all the way up and everything is unmuted. I'm using a SB LIVE 5.1, it's an original that I put in, and here is the output of the ET console:
------- sound initialization -------

----- Sound Info -----
sound system is muted
1 stereo
32768 samples
16 samplebits
1 submission_chunk

No background file.

Does it work with arts running? Your've got a lot of different sound modules running there do you have onboard as well as the sblive card? Perhaps the games are trying to use the onboard s/c

btw, i know its a little off topic, but its a good idea to disable supermount, because it confuses cd detection for game installation like ut2003. just a thought. and, it does look like you have alot of modules loaded for using just one soundcard. maybe you could try disabling onboard sound in the BIOS?
