ingame mouse problem under 1024*768

I keep getting the feeling that my cursormovement is not synchronized with my hand, by matter of speaking.
This occurs in games under a resolution of 1024*768.

I own a ms intellimouse optical PS/2 mouse.

In XF86config, i noticed 2 mouse inputdevice sections:

Section "InputDevice"
Identifier "Mouse0"
Driver "mouse"
Option "Protocol" "IMPS/2"
Option "Device" "/dev/psaux"
Option "ZAxisMapping" "4 5"
Option "Emulate3Buttons" "no"

Section "InputDevice"
Identifier "DevInputMice"
Driver "mouse"
Option "Protocol" "IMPS/2"
Option "Device" "/dev/input/mice"
Option "ZAxisMapping" "4 5"
Option "Emulate3Buttons" "no"

Section "Device"
Identifier "Videocard0"
Driver "nvidia"
VendorName "Videocard vendor"
BoardName "NVIDIA GeForce 2 MX (generic)" # is it normal that after install of drivers it still says 'generic' ?
VideoRam 65536
EndSection

Section "Screen"
Identifier "Screen0"
Device "Videocard0"
Monitor "Monitor0"
DefaultDepth 24
SubSection "Display"
Depth 24
Modes "1024x768" "800x600" "640x480"
EndSubSection
EndSection

Go under KDE Control Center and adjust the mouse sensitivity. If your running GNOME, adjust the sensitivity under the System Settings. It should do the trick

I think that the second Input Deivce is an error. make a backup copy of your XF86Config file (ie XF86Config.bak), and remove the second input device section. Save, and restart X. If that screws with X for some strange reason, simply exit X (alt+ctrl+backspace), and rename the XF86Config.bak to XF86Config, and try tweeking the mouse settings under KDE control panel
