I have installed fedora core 1 and my display is 600 *800 only it never changes to higher display .All the icons are bigger and i'm facing lots of problems with that .How should i make sure that graphic drivers are properly installed.
I'm having the same problem, but i'm brand spankin' new to linux. I think it's because linux doesn't know what kind of monitor i have (because it says unknown monitor in the display settings), but when i go to tell it what monitor i have, it's not in the list that they have available (it's a Sceptre X7 Max Res. 1280x1024). Also Linux detected my nvidia geforce4 Ti 4600, but it's listed as a generic nvidia geforce card. i tried to download the driver from nvidia's site, and i think i finally selected the right one, and then it asked what program i wanted to open it?! I was like "WTF?!" now i'm here. HELLLLLLLLLLLLLPPPPP!!
