how to install Freespace 2 in Linux

Hello, I am trying to install Freespace 2 using the linux installer from http://www.icculus.org/~ravage/freespace2/, the full game I downloaded from http://www.freespacezone.com/. During the install (I launch the installer from xterminal), the installer kept telling me it couldn't find a number of files, told me to insert the next disk, yet more files couldn't be found. So I'm wondering which copy of Freespace2 should I get if I want to install to linux. Thanks

in order to play FS2........you do need ALL 3 disks....BUT those files are for Windows installation.....in order to play on Linux you will need to install a Linux program called "Cedega" first, then you can use these 3 disks.......

so, what's the point for the FS2 linux port at http://www.icculus.org/~ravage/freespace2/ , is it meant to be used with Cedega?
