Anyone get Freespace 2 working?
Hey, I'm trying to install Freespace 2 on Mandrake 10.1. I downloaded the installer, it seemed to go fine, but when I try to run it I get this:
[badmofo666@woh-65-28-244-134 badmofo666]$ freespace2
Error: (src/stats/scoring.cpp:240): Error parsing 'rank.tbl'
Error code = 5.
does anyone know how to fix this? or what this means?

You could ask help from the SCP project at the HLP forums (if you didn't yet): http://dynamic4.gamespy.com/%7Efreespace/forums/
Though the site is down right now.. need to wait a bit for it to recover

I personally got it working very easily by compiling it from source. According to the site Freetype2 has no depenencies, which is nice. It should compile flawlessly.
I run Slackware by the way, but that shouldn't matter.
