I downloaded the trial of cedega and it installed fine and all my hardware passed. So preceeded to install halflife 2. and it did, then steam had to update and then i closed it and went to open it all i get is the screen that says subcribe now or play, so i click play and nothing happends that screen just disapears. is it becuase this is a trial?
No. I find I get better performance with Source-based games (and better debugging ability) when running games in a managed desktop. Edit your profile in Cedega and in the Desktop drop down, pick the next resolution down from your desktop size. Now try running it in that, you'll be able to more easily see when/if an app crashes or if the window just hasn't opened yet. I can play HL2 fine in Cedega so there's no reason you can't although that vid card probably won't be real flash.
ok, i tried that and still no luck. Still when I click on the cedega icon it goes to the trial splash screen and i click play and then nothing happends. i would really like to buy the full version but i'm afraid this is all i will get.
Yeah that card will be fine, sorry I was replying to two Cedega-related threads at once and the other was talking about a MX4000. Do you have a game selected when you click the play button? I haven't used the trial version but I can only assume it's the same. Once you've greated a profile for the game and installed it into that profile, you just select the profile on the left pane and then the icon for the game in the right panel. Either double-clicking or selecting the icon and clicking Play will work.
well see thats the prob, when after i get the thing installed and then come back later to play again. I get presented with this: http://itransfer.ath.cx/screens/cedega.png
and then i click play and nothing happends. I have tried reinstalling over and over. Could it be maybe i need to change where its beeing installed to?
