not getting xfce4 desktop


i have build lfs_systemd 9.0 with xfce4 using lfspkg package manager all packages are installed successfully ..when trying to boot desktop getting above error message .. please suggest how to solve this issue.

xfce needs to be started with ( if I remember ) startxfce4, the screenshot shows the twm window manager which is the default.

mouse not working

thanks for giving replay i got xfce4 desktop but mouse point not working...

Had this a few times when i used to use xfce found that just unplugging the mouse and plugging back in fixed, it was quite random never did track down the bug.
P.S.
mouse was usb.

Bash prompt shows you are missing bash files at top of blfs book. That will throw a wrench into anything built in blfs. Also you are on a VM. Looks like ya dont have the kernel configured for a vbox VM to me.

update LFS

Hi sir,

i have build lfs with xfce4 using lfspkg but i have Few doubts about lfs and lfspkg.

while using lfspkg scripts i have getting some issues i thought because of my host system i have taken ubuntu 18.04.

1.which host system is good to build lfs using lfspkg build scripts?

2.how to update my lfs system using lfspkg?
