upgrade to slackware 12.2 + xfce4.6 (xfce4-power-manager doesn't work)

i have u fujittsu-siemens laptop (lifebook s7110).
upgraded from 12.1 to 12.2 by following UPGRADE.txt. all well so far.
after that I upgraded to xfce4.6 and installed xfce4-power-manager from here http://rlworkman.net/pkgs/12.2/xfce46/
well i love xfce 4.6 but the power manager tells me that there is no hal in this system.
when i try to suspend it says this:
Code:
Suspend or hibernate are only supported through HAL, which is not available
I believe those are lies about HAL being unavailable.
I am in the power group:
Code:
groups=0(root),7(lp),11(floppy),17(audio),18(video),19(cdrom),83(plugdev),84(power)
so why would it not be able to find and use hal?

nevermind, the second reboot (after adding myself to power group) helped.
i had allready reboot after the upgrade to 12.2.
wonder why logging off didn't help with that.
but seems to work for now

I'm using 4.6 with Slack 12.2 also....love it. Have you had a problem by chance with adjusting your Keyboard key repeat rate in Xfce4 settings? try it. I can't adjust it. It just stays on a long interval....can't figure it out.
