kernel upgrade = re-install ???


Hello,

when I want to install a new kernel for example instead of the .30 the .32 kernel. Do I have to install everything again ??

I've only gotten my LFS system to boot, and haven't done any upgrades. But my experience with Slackware is that no you don't have to reinstall anything. Just build your new kernel, put everything in it's place and then update your bootloader.
