Hi,
I think this is the last 'split' from my initial big post
The problem I have (apart from the others you can read in my last posts) is my Marvell Gigabit-Ethernet LAN adapter is not working, I've tried from building the support for it in the kernel internally and building it as a module, in any of the two ways, there's no problem with module loading or any complaint at boot time, but when I try to find my ethernet device I can't, it isn't there...
No matter how I try, when I execute
ip link to show the list of adapters it only shows me the loopback device as
lo, but no trace of
eth0 or any other 'eth' device...
I also tried net-tools, but the
ifconfig output is the same, I only get the
lo device in the list...
Do I need something more to get my ethernet device working... like... a userspace driver? if not the case, how can I fix the problem?
Thanks in advance,
Julio
