Question Extracting all files

Hi and thanks for reading,

I am trying to extract all of the source bz2 files (in /mnt/lfs/sources) into separate directories named the same as the separate file names (AKA extracting and creating /mnt/lfs/binutils-2.17 for the binutils-2.17.bz2 file)

Any idea?

Thanks,
Will

As long as you have write permission to that directory, simply copy the bz2 file to that location and run:
Code:
tar -jxvf filename.bz2

Thanks. Yea that is what I wound up doing. I was actually trying to untar all of the bz2 files in the directory (there are a crap load of 'em), but looking around I found that I would probably wind up using scripting or something if I kept at it.

Thanks again for the quick reply,
Will
