Is it posible to install x windows on LFS, just for fun of it.
Next - can i uninstall it and not damage the LFS.

I dont wana go through BLFS, just for x windows. I hope for the sake of humanity this is possible.

May be but difficult. That's why one should use a package manager.

Not really. Just install xorg in its own prefix and you can nuke/replace it later. Its external deps might be a bit different though.

I'm trying and thinking on installing LXDE desktop. I'm a bit confused. Does the LXDE desktop installation requires all decencies marked as 'required' need to be installed. What else is needed for LXDE Desktop installation. Can someone give a short answer, no bullshit.

If you read through it and follow the instructions you shouldn't have any problems. If reading the LFS and BLFS books are proving to not be helpful, it may be better for you to work up to them - install Gentoo or a similar distro until you feel more confident.

What i meant was, can i install LXDE desktop without the need of the x environment. Do i need to install x environment, all of them for LXDE to work.

Second the LXDE has some depencies during the installation marked as required. Do i need them as well or should i skip them.

X is required for graphics in UNIX. That's why it's called the X-Windows system. LXDE, Xfce, KDE, and GNOME are only Desktop Environments that run on top of X to provide window management, graphical user environments, interfaces, toolkits, and such. Xorg is nothing more than a core set of rendering libraries, DDX and OpenGL drivers, and core APIs to draw graphics in UNIX. You can run other graphical stacks like Wayland and DirectFB that work similar but often these still require parts of, or total installations of Xorg to function properly.

Basically i want to make my LFS like Puppy linux - Small size 100MB!
Installing xorg, depencies and other files, my LFS is gona be like 10gb.
Why is that , how can i build my LFS like Puppy.

Can the developers of LFS, write a tutorial on how to create puppy LFS(small LFS, with GUI).

NVM, i guess i have to find a program that shrinks the whole LFS to 100MB.

But still i don't get it, how can u shrink a 1GB LINUX to 100mb and still make it work.
Why not instead of shrinking it, write the code smaller so it fits without shrinking.

Just a Theory, on shrinking.
Pipe from 1 PC to Another, or from terminal to terminal, while ur are compiling ,make and install.
Basically First PC does compile and make, second PC does install and shrinks auto.
Or just do auto shrink the whole LFS after ur done with it.

Once you have built your lfs, programs can be removed, "Puppy linux" or DSL etc dont have the programs like example tar and others, you can also reduce the size of the kernel by removing stuff you dont need, remove man pages as mention in the link
