Question can't unpack using user lfs

Hi.
It says in chapter 5.1 of LFS 6.2 that I should unpack the package as user lfs. But after typing the unpacking code, it prompts me with a message

bash: tar: command not found

Did i misunderstood something there?

I tried running other commands like su, mkdir, and ls but it prompts the same message. The only command functioning in user lfs is cd.

This is my first attempt to do LFS.

When you created the lfs user, did you set up the .bash_profile and .bashrc files as described in 4.4. Setting Up the Environment? What do you get when you type the following?
Code:
cat /home/lfs/.bash_profile
cat /home/lfs/.bashrc

Thumbs up

aw.. got it..

cat /home/lfs/.bash_profile
Code:
exec env -i HOME=$HOME TERM=$TERM PS1='\u:\w\$ ' /bin/bash
I miss a colon after the second bin.
cat /home/lfs/.bashrc
Code:
set +h
umask 022
LFS=/mnt/lfs
LC_ALL=POSIX
PATH=/tools/bin:/bin/usr/bin
export LFS LC_ALL PATH
Thanks so much!
I'll be extra careful typing next time..
Thanks again!
