Building Icewm Missing librarry imlib2

I am trying build Icewm,./configure ends with this error:

configure: error: Package requirements (imlib2) were not met:

No package 'imlib2' found

Consider adjusting the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable if you
installed software in a non-standard prefix.

Alternatively, you may set the environment variables IMLIB2_CFLAGS
and IMLIB2_LIBS to avoid the need to call pkg-config.
See the pkg-config man page for more details.

If I insert the command whereis imlib2 output is:
imlib2: /usr/lib/imlib2 /usr/share/imlib2

I tried to use ldconfig command. It didn't help.

I think what's missing dev version of imlib librarry. How compile it?

Have nice day

Petr

Configure scripts don't actually check for runtime libraries but for their header files. However with LFS, that shouldn't make any difference since all libraries are built and installed as complete packages (just as they are in Slackware). What would correspond to the "dev version" in something like Debian would be the files in /usr/share/imlib2 which you apparently have. My guess is that there's something wrong with your pkgconfig installation.

I'd suggest: The way as described in the BLFS Book, chapter 25...
Right after imlibs dependencies have been installed the same way.

cheers,
