hi
um, i just started an lfs have hit a few probelms been able to figure most of them out except when i go to make install or make binutils it take a really long time. i read that it would take around 40 minutes or so, but what i thought was weird that it is displaying the same output on the screen in a continuous loop and it isnt changing sould i be worried or not?
um this computer im doin it on is kinda old like a 1.3 celeron with 300 mb ram just FYI

Please describe your setup. Are you doing this using the LFS disk (if so, I can't help), however if you are doing this in a separate area on your system them maybe I can lend assistance.

I have not built an LFS system, but I have successfully built a CLFS system which should be quite similar.

um i m gonna try a new machine cause a person that i met on this forum said he had the simailar problewm and he tried a diffenert machine.
but any wy is a 1.3 ghzcel 300 mb ram
and i am using a LFS-livecd

configure and make binutils-2.16.1 should use some swap,
make a swap about 500M, ---from China,poor english.
