Cool Redhat Enterprise - how to limit a users session

Hi All,

We have a Redhat Enterprise server wich is accessed by 100's of users, somtimes some of the users do not disconect from our database software the correct way and it leavs there session running in Linux, this means that when they reconect they start a new session . . . Then they do the smae thing over and over, so the result is we are left with lots of IDLE sessions.

Is there a way to restrict users sessions to just 2?

Thanks

Darren

That's done via maxlogins:

Code:
$ cat /etc/security/limits.conf | grep maxlogins
# - maxlogins - max number of logins for this user
#@student        -       maxlogins       4
