How can I limit samba users to just one login session?

I need to stop users from login in on more that one workstation (98/2k) at a time.
How do I do this in the smb.conf or otherwise?

Is your samba server a domain controller and are you using the security=domain mode. There is a PAM security module (pam_limits) where you can change the setting of "maxlogins" in the /etc/security/limits.conf file, but I don't know it this will change the samba domain controller behavior or just the logins on the linux server. Also, being that some of the hosts are Windows 98 machines, which aren't true domain members, that may cause problems as well.

The Samba 3 Howto and Reference Guide has a chapter on Policies. Look in /usr/share/doc/packages/samba/ for a copy of this book. If not see if you have a samba-doc package that you can install. If not, you can download it at the Samba.org website. There are two other books as well including Samba 3 by Example.

Thanks for the assistance. I will test soon.

The Samba server is the PDC, and security = user

I will also have a look at the documents you mentioned.
