I am trying to join Fedora 21 to my windows domain at work but I seem to be running into errors the whole time and can't find sufficient answers. I have tried the guide from here: http://nathanpeters.com/2014/09/22/t...ning-a-domain/

but neither works well.

After following the guide using authconfig-tui I get a message saying I have joined the domain but then can't login using domain credentials.

When I try using realm join -U domainuser domainname, it asks for authentication then gives me this error: realm: Couldn't join realm: Not authorized to perform this action.

Am I missing something?

You might want to take a look at sssd. We use it at work and have had some success. Here is a link to it:
