partimage fails to restore image of partition which has soft-link of other LV

I am able to create a partimage of a partition(from SANDBOX) which contains a soft-link to a mount point of a logical volume. Before saving part-image the logical volume & partition is unmounted. But while restoring the partimage, it is throwing error code 19. I dug to partimage source code & discovered that the partition size stored by the image is greater than the partition(device) to which image will be restored. But partition on SANDBOX & restoring partition are exactly same & they use full size of that real device. Is there any issue with that soft-link?
