We were using rhel 5.7 & the anaconda installer has a lot of client specific customizations. Now we are planning to move to rhel 6.2 64 bit. So we need have all these customizations in our 64 anaconda installer as well. Performing all the client specific customizations manually in the 64 bit anaconda is a tough job. So I just want to know if we can compile the rhel 5.7 anaconda in rhel 6.2 64 bit platform. So can someone guide me on what changes should I make in the anaconda installer source code. The source is using python as well as C programming (for the loader part). Ultimately I should be able to get a 64 bit binary & library files.

You really should ask redhat about this. It sounds like you, or whoever did this work originally, knows a lot more about anaconda than an user here is realistically likely to. Maybe try here - https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Anaconda#Mailing_Lists
