rtlinux installation problem os used is redhat enterprener linux


while I try to install rtlinux error occured
I used fresh kernel from kernel.org version 2.6.9 and
rtlinux 3.2 my rhel as os

I successfully completed
patching kernel,and configuring kernel using "make menuconfig" command.
next i given make bzImage but it showned the fallowing errors

make[3]: *** No rule to make target `net/ipv4/netfilter/ipt_TOS.o', needed by `net/ipv4/netfilter/built-in.o'. Stop.
make[2]: *** [net/ipv4/netfilter] Error 2
make[1]: *** [net/ipv4] Error 2
make: *** [net] Error 2

please help me in this regard

If you're using RHEL why aren't you using the RT kernel from Red Hat ?

It's in the MRG repo (Messaging, RealTime and Grid)

thanks for reply but MRG is not free of cost and i am using pirated version of rhel
please suggest me alternative and my system's hard disk is sata type so i cant load redhat9 on it


I also tried on fedora 14 with kernel ,2.4.18,2.4.21,2.4.22 but while patching it is giving some error
as fallows
patch: **** malformed patch at line 1035: *+/

If you can't afford RHEL then you should try one of the community respins like CentOS, you may have to hunt around for the packages but a quick search found http://people.centos.org/hughesjr/kernel-rt/x86_64/
