How to find out Raspberry Pi GPU and ARM CPU temperature on Linux

Hi,

How to find out Raspberry Pi GPU and ARM CPU temperature on Linux
Quote:
I am using a Raspberry PI 2/3 credit size computer. How do I find out my GPU or ARM CPU temperature from Linux operating system command line option?

You can easily find out the GPU and ARM CPU temperature using the following commands. Show Raspberry Pi GPU temperature

Open the Terminal application and type the following command to view GPU (Graphics Processing Unit) temperature:
vcgencmd measure_temp
OR
/opt/vc/bin/vcgencmd measure_temp
See output at above link.

Hope this helps.
Have fun & enjoy!

Maybe not.
That's returning the same metric - ARM temp, not GPU.

Hi,

Your right!

Looking closer at the script the CPU/GPU temperature are from the same sensor accessing; '/opt/vc/bin/vcgencmd measure_temp'
&
'/sys/class/thermal/thermal_zone0/temp'. No differences. Author may be seeing the differences due to the delay(propagation) accessing the same sensor thus different output for the same sensor.

Script will still produce the Temperature for the Rpi just be aware that the GPU & CPU temperature are from the same sensor since the SoC is on the same silicon.

Just edit out the GPU part of the script.

Sorry for miscue.

Hope this helps.
Have fun & enjoy!
