The best thing you can do is to reply to your own thread explaining that this is a problem with SuSE as well.

Well, I'm pretty sure that its more major than DamnSmallLinux, and that has its own forum. I do find it a bit frustrating that there isnt a SuSE forum, having running SuSE since SuSE 6.4.

As has been explained over and over and over again (and this being post 304, please read the rest of the posts), being "major" has absolutely nothing to do with it.

So, one more time, Jeremy's policy/preference is for any distribution sub-forum to be somwhat official. This means having the agreement of the distributor for some kind of support - for example, the Linspire forum has one of their employees as a mod, the official Slackware forum is here.

Jeremy is waiting to hear back from Novell. Once he does we will know whether there will be a forum here. If you wish to throw your weight behind the cause, email (politely) Novell and ask them to make their decision and to contact Jeremy.

You people kill me

You start the thread off by putting down SUSE to a new user that has chosen it stating that Debian is so far superior that why list SUSE. And yet you have Redhat who has no download distro's either and has publicly annouced that its not supporting the desktop systems any longer unless you buy their OS from them.

Not to mention there is absolutely nothing wrong with SUSE. If you don't like it fine, but my goodness, speaking the way most of you have here only shows how truly ignorant you are. I bet half the people stating al these stats and dislikes has never used a current version of SUSE and has no reason what so ever to open the mouth.

Hey, I have an idea, lets stick to answering peoples questions and keeping stupid opinions to ones self...

sorry,

cybercrypt

And I don't miss that feature.
Information is well organised on LQ.org, and background colours are friendly, in the sense that text is easily readable. Which I prefer compared to a fancy, colourful design, that makes text hard to read. And, BTW, the design of LQ.org is simple, but not awkward in any way.

Ok, that's me. Other may think differently about this, of course.

I also work with SuSe 9.0 pro. I think it is sad that there is no SuSE form.

I don't think most of the people here care if it's "official with novell" we just want a place to go to talk to other SuSE users. This shouldn't be that big of a deal.

Have you read any of the previous posts? The reason is there, plainly, for all to see.

That's a good link. It looks like they have some cool howtos on that site. You should put that link in your sig so more SuSErs will see it.

All ya gotta do is send them a request. The more request the more oil gets put on the squeaky wheel.

Dear Mr. ithawewrong,

thank you very much for your valueable feedback which I hereby forward to the
college in charge of SUSE LINUX for consideration.

Best wishes from Nuremberg, Germany,
Peter Reinhart
