Using VMWare, I've installed Suse 9.1 as guest in a Windows XP host.
However, I cannot get a USB storage device (Sandisk) working in the Suse guest system.
Can someone help ?
Try creating a mount point and directly mounting it, is VMWare emulating IDE or SCSI disks? If it's SCSI I'm not sure but on my computer with IDE disks I can mount USB filesystems like this
Code:
# mkdir /mnt/camera
# mount -t vfat /dev/sda1 /m,nt/camera
You can't mount it directly because it is still used by the original system. I don't dave any suggestion about mounting it. But you can copy the content in folder and then share this folder with your virtual machine. Good luck.
