Suse Enterprise 8.0 NIS issue

I am trying to configure a SLES 8.0 workstation at our company. I get automount to work by copying a WORKING /etc/init.d/autofs to the suse workstation. However, eveytime I reboot, it seems to get overwritten, and I lose my NIS settings and ability to login via NIS.

Anyone know how to retain this autofs every time?
