Exclamation suggestions any one

hello people of linuxquestions.org i am looking for a distro of linux that meets the criteria of the following:

1. must run live from cd an be able to boot in reseloution 800x600

2. needs to include an up to date antivirus program that will work on a window formatt HD (i.e FAT and NSCT not shure if those are the exact letters of this formatt but u get the drift)

my reasoning for this is i am having issues w/ my pc currently and wish ti use a linux based anti virus though i am aware of the rarity of this.
ive also read about BIT DEFENDER but i can not seem to find a place to download the live cd .iso (all links i have found to download this distro are dead links).

i am posting this thread in hopes that there is a distro that meets my needs any other included system tools that are windows compatible would be great also.

if any body has any distro suggestion please let me know i was told the live cd of pclinuxos (the distro i am posting this thread on now) has an anti virus maybe it does but i am not finding it if it does include an antivirus please inform me of what it its titled on the OS

thanx for reading my post and for any possible ideas u have for me

Knoppix would also fit your criteria or, if you feel particularly brave BartPE may be what you are after.

What is it you actually need to do to your Windows partition?

  • Knoppix is a live cd
  • Knoppix has a virus guard that can be updated
  • Knoppix can see and write to (IIRC) Windows partitions
  • Knoppix, by running a few switches (which are detailed on boot up, read the instructions on bootup) you can run it in 800*600

The hard drives will be listed on your desktop and the upgradeable antivirus package is in the menu and called Anti-virus I believe.

im following these directions to remove my virus >>>>> http://securityresponse.symantec.com...32.chod.d.html
but i need an anti virus to complete the removal because i cant locate the file in the start up menu to delete my only guess is there is another infected file hiding it
