I would really like a small distro which comes pre-installed with a mail server preferably one that isn't bloated out with other applications and is easy to use.
So I need:-
1. small install (as small as possible)
2. preferably imap then I can use roundcube
3. something that uses low processor power as I would really like to install this on an old celeron 366 laptop with 192mb ram I have lots of hard disk space so this is not an issue.
4. I would if possible like virus scanning and spam scanning even if that just means linking to an antispam list.
Is this asking too much does a ditro exist that I can pop in the drive install, configure my mail settings and walk away from?
Sounds like slackware or damnsmall would be a good bet for you. Pat (the guy in charge of slackware) still compiles binaries on a 486, so it should do fine on a 386. Don't expect any graphics though with a computer that old, you'll be going command line only.

Thanks 4 the reply, I will check it out oh and it's a Celeron 366MHz not a 386 and I have Windows XP running on it at present so a light GUI will probably manage ok I think!
