So Xubuntu Lubuntu install codecs now?
I tried out Xubuntu (wow, not sure what it is but it looks better than MacOS), Lubuntu (very nice) and Mint xfce.
I know years ago I read Linux Mint gives you flash and other codecs, but when I tried to install Lubuntu and Xubuntu (it took me awhile before I realized why they all 3 locked up) I noticed they all had options to install codecs and stuff.
So with that in mind, has Mint lost its uniqueness?

Hi...
Starting in Mint 18, codecs were no longer included by default. Please see the article here.

Thanks.
NOTE: So as long as you check it off during install it will still install them from the internet. (requiring internet access of course)
