Small distro to install on a FAT32 root. Any advices?

I want to carry a linux installation on my cellphone.

At the same time i want to remain able to read the phone sd-card on windows installations.

Which distro would you advice? I thought about zipslack, but it's pretty outdated now :-(

Depending on what size your SD-card has, you can install almost any distro. If you want only a small distro I would go for Puppy Linux or Slitaz.

With almost any I meant any distro that has a live-medium, which in my eyes are almost any. You can use unetbootin or other tools to install live-media to a FAT formated medium.
