linux nas from floppy

is there any form of linux that will run something like a remote controlled NAS box? i need a backup server and it would be nice if i could just boot linux off a disk and have it control my hdds shares via Samba or NFS.

i was looking ad the different coyote linux distros but they do not really have a file sharing setup.
