Question Knoppix 3.2 Help--TOTAL NEWBIE


Ok, I finally have gotten around to downloading knoppix. I put in my CD and it shows the graphics but it gets to like a 3rd screen and then just stops while it says "Intializing System Services" anybody, have this problem and found a way to fix it? Please help, this is my first linux experience and it is not treating very nicely!

You need to supply a little more info?
What is your hardware? Mobo, memory, etc.

Ok here are some more specs

CPU--Pent3 550 mhz
Mobo--Intel Cayman CA810
190 MB SDRAM (64 and 128)
CDROM (boot)--Lite-On LTR 32123S (32/12/40)
CDROM MITSUMI CD-ROM FX4824T!B
Hard Drive 1-- 15GB (winxp pro installed)
Hard Drive 2--60 GB (for extra storage)
Generic Floppy Drive
Generic 2button and wheel Mouse
Generic Keyboard
Motorola SB4200 SURFboard Cable Modem--in through bulit-in ethernet (mobo)
ATI-TV Wonder PCI Card

try booting from knoppix, make a sanwhich, and then watch a tv show. Knoppix usally takes a long time to load. If it is actually frozen when you get back try 3.1 if you using 3.2 or 3.2 if you are using 3.1. And if all that fail suse has a live iso as does slackware
