Is there anyway we can burn our own SuSE ISO?

Hi, I know in this forum there are posts that asking for SuSE 8.1 full ISO image links, but my searches so far has been unfruitful. Some suggested http://www.linuxiso.org, but that is only a "Live-Eval" version of SuSE 8.1.

So I wonder if there is a possibility that I can burn the full ISO image out from the complete distributions in SuSE's FTPs? I guess there should be 3 CDs...

I used 3 days just to download all of them because I have tried FTP install but the installation "hangs" in between...2.2 GB altogether. Ok, I am thinking of simply burning these 2.2 GB data onto 3 CDs...do you think it would work? Thanks!

I think it'd be easier to just to a local install from your HD where these files reside. I've personally never done either, but I'd think that just pointing towards the packages on the HD might not only be faster, but also save you the headache of creating bootable CD's and such.

Actually I have already tried the HD local install, but that process was quite strange...my files are on a Windows FAT32 partition...so when I start the installation, it said there is a failure in mounting hda6 which exactly points to that partition...a message then appears asking me to reboot or just continue...so I continue and the funny thing is it started to install all the packages as requested.

At the end, it pops out another message saying there are "99 package installation error..." and the bootloader was unable to save to my HD. So...back to square one Nothing was installed in reality.
