Is that after the installation when you try to run X?
If it happens while running X, get the drivers & instructions here: http://www.powervr.com/Downloads.asp
I have a Kyro II and debian R3.0 installs just fine with the 2.4 kernel...
When i configure X i use the fbdev driver and set the vga parameter @ lilo to 794 for a nice 1280x1024x16bit resolution... So the problem is probably elsewhere...
I've installed Debian 3.0 fine (bf24) with my Kyro II, but the driver will not compile. I've even tried using alien to convert the powervr .rpm to a .deb, but insmod fails with unresolved dependencies.
It looks like some of you were able to compile the driver, do you have any tips? Can you help me?
I have the same problem (ma debian woody installation don't start ad my screen tourns black) and reading this topic I don't understand how solve it.
What is the solution?
(Sorry for my english)
