Getting the 'make' and 'install' in SuSE 9.1 "Personal"

HI there, everyone,

I came to know that after Installing SuSE 9.1 Personal. The Single CD OS, I can't really think about installing any other software later on by myself? Is this true. Because, if I try to run any file, for example:

./dinesh-program.pl

From some folder, then, it asks me for the directory of "make".

Tell me how to equip my SuSE Personal with all the capability of Installing New s/w.

Basically, you can turn any SuSE personal into professional by downloading the extra software via FTP. Have fun.
