Gentoo 2004.2 chroot/pulling files

Hey All,

Am curious if there is a way to pull(cp/mv) files from the /mnt/gentoo to /bin/bash area after the chroot command has been implemented.

Is there a man page to refer to?

TIA!

The first "area" you are in is the CD,when you chroot you are on the hard drive just using the live cd kernel, what did you want to mv/cp.

Well, actually I manually downloaded the 2.6 kernel and patch to the first "area". Forgot that to extract the 2.6 kernel I needed to emerge gentoo-dev-sources, so bounced to an Alt-F2 window where I was logged in under livecd to download the kernel. Anyhow, once I actually emerged it correctly I was set. This is what spawned the question at any rate. Being bone-headed sometimes has its curious quirks...

There is no problem, just curious if it is possible to move files from the first "area" to the other for future reference.

Thanks for the resonse...
