no iwconfig on Gentoo 2004.2

hello i rencently installed Gentoo 2004.2 on my laptop (an Acer Ferrari 3000)

my current problem is getting the wireless NIC working (Broadcom 4301) for that purpose i've installed the ndiswrapper, my current problem is that my kernel doesn't seem to want to include wireless support, my kernel include the following options which should enable wireless support:

CONFIG_NET_RADIO=y
CONFIG_NET_WIRELESS=y

but as the topic says i have no iwconfig commands, which leads wireless networking pretty hard todo.

I'm running Linux-2.6.7-ck5 kernel .

hope someone has a solution.
