I have some hp thinclients (hp 5710) that came with windows xpe (embeded edition), I want to switch them to linux, I use them to playback video in some 19" monitors located in differente places, so I need a lite distribution, easy to setup that works well with very limited computers. I just need it to play the videos automatically when I start the computers and keep them on a loop all day, very day .

The Specs for the computers are:

• Processor: Transmeta Crusoe TM5800 800 MHz
• Installed RAM 256 MB (some with 512)
• Video Memory: 16 MB
• ATA Flash 256 MB
• USB Ports 4

I've tried with Slax, but maybe someone can sugest me a distribution focused on this specific problem.

I'm thinking maybe in run the OS from a 4 GbUSB Memory, with the videos on it too.

I can use some advices on the video codec, and player too.
