Closest to win2K without being limited

No flames please, I just dove straight in (Wiped my win2K installation from my hard drive) to mandrake and have a major headache.

Which distro will be easiest for someone completely adept at win2K's GUI and tweaking it out (I manually uninstalled programs via regedit, the system didn't crash for the 2.5 years I had it installed) to use?

In linux's gui I feel completely limited, I have to take the long ways around to get into my drives and everything runs so SLOW!

(Using mandrake/mandriva 10.2 x86_64)

This is a double post, you asked the same thing in your previous one. Try to keep it all in one thread, makes it easier for us to help. Don't expect switch overnight.

Try OpenSuse with the KDE desktop.
