What linux FTP program is closest to FlashFXP for windows?

Hi there,

I am curious - I've FlashFXP for Windows. It's a great program, and I wouldn't use anything else in Windows: It's quick, isn't resource intensive, blah blah, basically I think it's the best Windows FTP available.

I know there are loads in Linux such as gFTP and umm others. (Only know of one really! :P )
But, could anyone kindly look at the FlashFXP site ( http://www.flashfxp.com/ ) and tell me which FTP program in linux is closest?

Thanks

The closest that I know of is gftp and iglooftp(proprietary). www.igloofp.com I believe. None of them can totally compare with flashfxp IMHO. Flashfxp is a good program. I'd like to see a linux port one day.

Thanks for that.

It's possible to use both gFTP and Igloofp in both Gnome and KDE, correct?

Thanks.

This is a big problem for me. FlashFXP is just great when i use windows, tried running FlashFXP with cedega under Linux, it starts but crashes very soon.

gFTP really isnt that good (IMHO not good at all...). Iglooftp i dont like, only thing close is pftpfxp but i prefer a gui.

Any suggestions on ftpclients to try please give them. I need FXP and TLS (login, list & transfer) support.

The only worthwhile FTP client with a GUI I can think of is gFTP. What's wrong with it?

Personally I prefer gftp, but you could take a look at kbear and kasablanca.

I would suggest CrossFTP ( http://www.crossftp.com/ ), a very good FTP client with even more features than FlashFXP. It's worth checking out - you may never go back!
