Can I play multimedia files in RH 8?


what packages or files do I need in order to play all the audio/video files under RH 8 ?

What do you meant all the audio/video files? As far as I understand, almost all audio and video files can be playable under RH8, but not all shipped with the distro.

Generally you need to download:

- Realplayer to play RP files
- Shockwave flash player/plugin to play Macromedia flash or shockwave files

Emm.. generally other than that can be recognized.

Orr... not forgetting about MPEG-3/MP3, you need to install a GPL plugin for that extension.

download asp linux, it has most of the software that red hat left out, and its based on red hat.
