wmv files on fullscreen mode on gmplayer it runs as unusual

Im usin opensuse11. iv installed gmplayer from source. i installed all codecs well. when i tryin 2 play a wmv file its sound plays well but video plays slower than normal on fullscreen mode-in half size mode it plays normal..when i try to play it vt mplayer from terminal it plays normal on fulscreen. i want 2 know the reason. pls help me.

The most frequent reason for such behavior is the incorrect output setting. Every player has several possible outputs to select from, and the default is not always the best. Xine, for example, has xhsm, xv, opengl, raw and so on. Try out the outputs available in your player till you find a better one.

thanx josipbroz. i found the reason. it happens only when i use my root account. with other user accounts wmv files plays normal on fullscreen mode. i think it happens due to security reasons with root. (coz im new2 linux)

I hate preaching, but ... you actually use your root account? It was never intended for that. It's just for administrators, for the rare occasions when system maintenance can't be performed from an ordinary user account (which is, again, extremely extremely rare).
