Uable to remember how to move panel from side to bottom view 'Mint17Mate'

Use to be able to right click on panel and get a menu that would allow me to chenge panel positions. Something about panel being vertical on left won't allow that menu to appear. I can get the menu with preferences but not the other menu that has a word similar to preferences which use to allow me to move panel around.
"Remembered the word that I am suppose to click on to move panel and it is 'properties'. I cannot get properties to appear to click on it to move panel."

I've searched all the menus for the like but unable to see it there either.
Thanx SW

Question

Finally got a right click on panel to produce a propertires [Just kept trying it every time I booted.] in the menu and used to to move the panel from left to bottom. Funny thing tho I did this on two computers similar hardware but then the time and date on both computers which was far right on panel is now in the middle of panel dead center of the monitor. Menu button is far left and Update Sound and Ethernet are far tight on panel.
