Question Xubuntu - top panel & bottom panel disappeared

No idea what I did to make them disappear and I can't figure out how to get them to reappear so would appreciate any wisdom & insight. Thanks

Hi. I don't know if you're seeing what I have here on my Xubuntu (my office pc), but try finding Applications->Settings->Settings Manager-Panel if you have it. Then you should see there which panels you have. You can add a panel by clicking the plus sign ( + ).

As to how they've *magically* dissappeared, I have no idea as I am fairly new to Linux. I hope I helped.

Hi, thanks for getting back so quickly. I tried that and can get to the icon that says "panel" but when I click on it nothing happens. All other icons in Settings Manager work just fine except this one. Will try reinstalling Xubuntu and see if I can get to the panel icon then.
