resolution changes


i have just installed Linux Cenos 5.The thing is my screen is flickering but i cant find how o set my refresh rate o 75Hz to stop it.In the monitors panel it says monitor is unknown and i can only set the refresh rate as 50,51 and 52 Hz. how to set it to 75...

Please help me on this.......

Open this file /etc/X11/xorg.conf .

Check for monitor section. A sample data will be like this
Code:
Section "Monitor"
         Identifier   "Monitor0"
         VendorName   "Philips"
         ModelName    "107E"
         DisplaySize  360        270
         HorizSync    30.0 - 70.0
         VertRefresh  85         
         Option      "dpms"
EndSection
You can modify your monitor refresh rate in the above section
